Hey Steve,

Happy New Year to you. Cole had a great time in AZ. His whole team really hit it off and they rode their chemistry to the championship game (they came in second).

He liked all the instructors and felt like he learned a lot throughout the weekend. He also improved most, if not all of his initial testing. And I'm sure the new video is going to be terrific. He fielded and hit very well. I think it could be a major asset in his recruitment process. I'm sure he wishes he hit a little better in games, but that's baseball. He is only a sophomore with room to grow.

Personally I was impressed with the event and enjoyed the people I met. Cole and his teammates are still in touch and have talked about getting together at the same event next year.

I learned a lot about hitting and working at second base, my team was really good as well, we all became friends fast and worked hard. The coaching staff was really helpful. They taught me a lot of things I did not know about playing at second and base running. The food there was really good, I enjoyed every bit of it; my hitting went really well, I became a little better at second base and base running, I did great! I loved Florida and I enjoyed the experience there at Pirate City!  The facility as well was beautiful! I loved the cages, it was so big and nice!

Sorry to get back to late, but the trip was a ton of fun. Overall I thought I did pretty well, went 2-for-6 with two singles, played OF and pitched. Only got one ball hit to me in OF but the OF evaluation went really well. Throws felt very nice, all one hop or no hop. I can't remember his name but he was a lefty and the OF coach and he did an amazing job teaching us how to line up correctly and why, how to judge a ball off the fence; wood, chain linked, or anything else, and how to field a ground ball the right way.

Pitching felt like it went really well. Did not pitch for a little while before I went to Florida, so fastball felt like it had a little more velocity and curveball was either off or on, but I threw my knuckle ball a lot. I threw it around 2-to-3 times on 0-0 counts and when I usually was ahead in the count. BP evaluation went pretty well; hit mostly probably over short and up the middle.

The coaches were really good and really knew what they were doing. They held you to a high standard and was a ton of fun. Hope all is going well for you and thanks for checking in.

I know there were so many kids and parents, but I wanted to take the time to thank you for evaluating my son, Mitchell Riccio yesterday during the Baseball Factory session on 11/6/16 in Middletown, CT. Mitchell has a strong desire to play high-level collegiate baseball.

I can’t express the amount gratitude that I have to you and Steve for getting Chris to the Fall Classic. He had such a positive experience from coaches, kids and overall, the events that took place. He made a lot of new friends and they are keeping in contact with each other. He said it was a lot of training but he enjoyed every bit of it. I went to one of the training sessions on Thursday at the Community College and I was very impressed the way that things were run and what level of training the kids were having. He told me that he was very glad that they had taped him and showed him the few things he needs to tweak to better his performance. I have to tell you that Chris could not say enough good things about every coach he came in contact with. As far as the facility it was absolutely beautiful complex. I could not believe how big it was.

I look forward to hearing from you about scouting notes and his performance soon. 

Overall, it was a GREAT experience for Chris.

He really seemed to enjoy it. I’ve not really got to talk to him since he straight to the beach with his grandparents. He did say that he learned lots especially on the hitting side. Lots of drills and such that he can implement at home. He’s supposed to be home Saturday so I’ll get a full rundown then I’m sure. I’ll make sure he gives you a shout next week. It’s an awesome experience for any kid to be able to go to a camp of that caliber with such good instruction. Thanks for everything and I’m looking forward to hearing about the notes and what we can do to improve.

The training was great! He said that it turned out even better than he thought it would. He said he learned a lot and is hoping to be invited to additional training camps in the future. He enjoyed the workouts, the games, meeting the other players and he thought the coaches were great. Dylan said he felt that he was stronger this time around.

This week was great! I would have liked to hit better than I did. But I learned a ton from my two coaches, Ron and Don. Both were willing to spend extra time and show me something or just talk. Getting to work with coach Jimmy Johnson was awesome too, he gave me some things to work on and drills to help as well. Everything was awesome about the whole week, they really made sure we were taken care of.

Hey Coach Darvick! I cannot put into words my experience in Florida! I am so grateful I was granted this opportunity to play at such a great facility in front of such great coaches and playing against good competition. I feel like Pirate City gave me a baseline on what it will take to play at the next level.

I am so excited and much more motivated now. This showcase not only made me a much better player with more experience, but gave me insight on past experiences from players and coaches in the baseball factory program (the recruiting seminar was fantastic!) I took as many notes as I could while I was down there and I look to incorporate the drills they gave us to practice on my own.

Going home, I feel like I bring a gem of knowledge that I hope to share with my brothers that can help us through all assets of life, not just sports. Again I want to thank you for the taste that helped me get hungry to become the best scholar athlete I can be. I will stay in touch.

He's working hard (harder than he's ever has). Both of us are learning so much about baseball and I know Thomas will bring so much home with him. The Omaha National World Series was an amazing experience. I was expecting great coaching and great instruction but the camp surpassed every expectation I had. Iowa Western Community College has a great campus and facilities. These facilities allowed for everyone from every team to interact and socialize, which allowed all the players to get to know each other as ball players and as friends. One thing that surprised me was that during the games all of the coaches coached all of the players. This allowed me as a player to get coaching as an outfielder, catcher, and a base runner almost continuously around the diamond.

Hey Mr. Packer, Vero Beach, even though it was four days, was an incredible and an exciting time and will be forever remembered as one of the best days of my young life. There is not one bad thing I have to say about this tournament. Everything about it had a professional but yet comfortable feel to it. Whether it be the delicious food served in the dining hall, being one of the first of few people to test out the new Easton Hit Lab™, or just being in the general vicinity of the once Brooklyn Dodgers Spring Training stadium! Then there was the coaching; they were hands down the best guys for the job. They had every single trait a coach should have. They had patience, a willing-to-help attitude, and a sense of humor. I guess the only bummer of the trip was that I didn't do as well as I hoped to do; but what can I say except, that's baseball for ya. All in all, after finally getting a taste of competition outside of my region, Baseball Factory is something I am really looking forward to continuing.

Hello Chris, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in Pirate City training and tournament. I had a great time and met some great coaches and players. The coaches taught me a lot and still made it a fun experience. They really worked on individual problems. When I asked them to look at something and give me feedback, they provided helpful instruction to me quickly. The players who were on my team really got along well and we came together within the first couple hours of meeting each other. I felt as if I was on a team with players I had known my entire life. At this camp/tournament I learned new things to improve my game. In the individual defense, I learned where I need to be positioned for various situations. For example, at shortstop the normal playing position for a right handed hitter is 9 steps towards left field and 6 steps towards third base from second base. On a left handed hitter it is 9 steps towards left field and 2 steps toward third base. Also my coach and I worked on my hitting after the first games on Sunday. He said my shoulder was coming out before my hands were moving towards the ball. This caused my hips to turn and made me roll over the ball and ground out. When I really focused on that during cage work at night, I got to the point where I could feel myself opening too soon. It became an easy fix and am now able to adjust this quickly. Another thing I learned was in the bullpen. A coach really talked to me about slide-step from the stretch. He also taught me how to throw a two-seam fastball. The two-seam fastball really worked for me and the slide-step came easy as well. I look forward to putting these skills into play. I look forward to seeing the coaches evaluation in a couple of weeks.  In the meantime, I will visit the Baseball Factory website for more information on baseball skills and college recruitment. Steve, I just wanted to thank you for all the help and information getting Mason ready for the Winter Classic. It was a first class experience. We were impressed by the great instruction, facilities and level of competition. Mason really enjoyed it all and learned tons of "nuggets" to work on. Thanks again for the opportunity!

Baseball Factory was one of the greatest baseball experiences that I ever had! I had an amazing time from meeting new people, all the drills, and most of all the baseball games we played. Thankfully, the team I was on, we all bonded and loved to play the sport. That led us to becoming the CHAMPS and I was super excited! I learned a lot of things that I had questions about and got refreshed on some things that I could do to help improve myself. If I am playing in the outfield I should take a hard, quick first step back. Hustle to the ball and in the straightest line as possible. Make sure I slow myself down enough to secure the ball cleanly, if hit on the ground. Make sure I try to catch the ball out in front of my body. On my batting. I learned that if I am short and sweet with my feet then I make a lot better contact with the ball. That means just picking my foot up and right back down. That even helps me stay balanced better. sometimes I would let my elbow get out from my body and that caused my hands and wrist to roll over and make me get on top of the ball. I got to let the ball travel into the zone so I can have a better contact point. It was a great event for me to go to and thank you! I hope you have a great New Year!

Rob and Bryan, Clint got some great news today. He made the roster at Augustana University (Rock Island). His goal was to get signed by the holidays so he could concentrate on school and baseball the entire 2nd semester. He only missed it by a day. There was no way this would have been possible without learning from BF just how to go about doing it.  I got a lot of personalized attention from you both and I just wanted to say “Thanks!”. Hi Dave, We had a fantastic time in Vero. The experience was well worth it. We only attended the games but everything ran smooth and was well organized from check in to check out. AJ had a great time. Met and made new friends as well as improving on his baseball. He started out a little homesick and nervous, but fought through it and now wishes it wasn't over so quickly. He (to me anyway) looks smoother in his fielding and more confident. His swing stayed the same again seeming more confident. We definitely look forward to the future, and hope he received a good evaluation. He'll be in contact soon, he's still getting caught up in school. Thank you again for the opportunity,

Dear Mr. Nagler, I just wanted to tell you that I had the best experience down in Florida at the Winter Classic. I had the time of my life! I learned, made friends, worked hard, and had fun. I would easily do it all over again. The food was great, the coaches very nice, weather fantastic, and instruction very helpful. One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was working with and competing against fellow players who are as serious about baseball as I am! The coaches left me with a handful of new things to work on - such as being balanced when I'm loading to hit the ball, being confident at the plate, and staying low when delivering throws across the diamond. I am looking forward to future opportunities with baseball factory to keep getting better as a baseball player, along with getting closer to my dream of playing D1 college baseball. I would just like to thank baseball factory and you for letting me experience that great event.

Hope things are well. Just a quick note to say a sincere thanks for your work you did for Marshal. It was a long exhausting road and without your expertise we would have been lost. Your patience, encouragement and knowledge was priceless. I hope it works out for him in college baseball as well as it did in his high school years. Billy had a blast!! He really enjoyed the experience minus the heat. Billy really liked both coaches alot and found it particularly helpful that one was a first base player too. It helped the experience that he played well and the coaches used him alot for demo's. I can't remember the two coaches names but they are an asset to your organization. At the conclusion of the week I thanked them both and they pulled me aside to speak. They were very insightful and let me know how well they evaluated Billy. They could have just as easily said thanks and walked away. I can't stress enough how much his coaches were a huge part of his experience. I was slightly worried that he would be a little tuckered out having just finished a week tournament in SC. But it all worked out great!

Jason, I wanted to thank you for allowing me to attend your extraordinary event and for dinner Saturday night. Everything that the Baseball Factory team does is a first-class operation. I also wanted to share a story from my flight back. On the flight out of Tucson I was in the same row as a player and his father. We had a great talk, and they were both very nice. The father started talking about how they attended the PG World event in Fort Myers two weeks ago and compared it to this event. He said this event was vastly superior because of the interpersonal skills of the Baseball Factory employees and how valuable it was to have interactions with scouts. He noted that the staff was incredibly accommodating and the interactions his son had with the scouts were priceless. This is a tremendous differentiator for your company and it seems to be leaving a lasting impression on your customers. Keep up the good work!

Hi Dave, I wanted to give you a parent's view on Pirate City and the tournament. From the moment that we arrived at Pirate City to the time that we left, the staff was wonderful. I was able to hear instructions and support that the staff gave to every player. It was clear to see that the staff members were dedicated individuals who enjoyed teaching the players. Nicholas had a great time at Pirate City. He thought that it was a wonderful experience. He was impressed with how much he learned in such a short period of time. He also enjoyed playing with players from all over the country. My only regret is that we did not know about baseball factory until Nicholas' last year of high school.

Patrick, We just wanted to touch base with you regarding Jordan's experience at the Fall Classic in Arizona. He had a great time and it was a positive experience for him. He gained some independence, made some new friends and learned some new strategies and adjustments to his game. He enjoyed his coaches, his teammates and felt that his team really gelled together considering they just met and had never played together. I believe their team went 3 and 1. Nolan Fuller and the coaches were great, friendly, approachable, helpful and informative. Thanks so much.

Chris, This weekend was definitely one of the best weekends of baseball I've had the opportunity to be a part of. My team was great and so were my coaches. JJ, Tallmadge, and Nico were all very helpful. I learned a lot of physical tips and also how my mental approach should be. I leaned that my speed is my best tool. I should always consider bunting for a hit and try to just put the ball in play. Also once I'm on the bases, I'm a threat. It'll take a perfect delivery and throw for the catcher to get me out on the bases, so I need to remember that and use it to my advantage. I learned to use my legs to really drive the ball at the plate, to keep my arms inside my swing and not extend them, and to keep my bat torqued at about a 45 degree angle. In the field, I was reminded that as an infielder I need to work from the ground up and not hesitate on my approach to the ball. Also, to keep my glove work smooth. I learned how to position myself based on the batter that is up. All in all, I need to play my game. I'm a contact hitter, and with a home to first time that's above major league average, I need to use that to my advantage to make things happen. Thank you for everything you've done. I appreciate the opportunity Baseball Factory gave me to play in Arizona. And I look forward to working with you to help further my baseball career.

Chris, Wow, what a great hitting clinic! All three instructors were great, knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. Luke and I learned new skills, skill cues, and the mental aspect of hitting. I learned drills that I can reteach and reemphasize despite my physical limitations/disability. If you don't mind please give them my gratitude and appreciation for the time they devoted to Luke and other players.

Dan, I want to say that the opportunity that you guys at the Baseball Factory gave to Garrison last year has really helped him grow even more as a young man and a baseball player. And especially inviting him back this year lets him know that he is doing the right things and doing what it takes to be better and to work even harder to get himself to the next level. It's great that we are part of the Baseball Factory Family and anytime we have question, there's no hesitation to get us our answer.

During David's mini-slump over the high school season, he was on the phone with Dan and Dan talked him through and got him out of the slump. Learning how to hit curve balls with Steve Bernhardt (Dulaney High grad!) was very interesting. I know it will help David tremendously as he gets ready for the Summer ball. Great all around team you have!

I want to compliment Baseball Factory on the highly professional job Patrick Wuebben and Bryan Dunkel have done in orchestrating and executing the Baseball Factory tryouts. Bryan called me on several occasions prior to the tryout to answer my questions, assist in a reschedule and to make me and my son feel welcome. Patrick ran the tryouts in a most efficient manner, presenting realistic assessments of the potential results of the tryouts and ensuring that all the players received full and fair reviews. As a partner at Ernst & Young, I see the internal operations of many companies, successful and not. Baseball Factory has all the attributes of the best based on efforts of people like Patrick and Bryan. Regardless of my son's continued involvement, our experience was very positive.

Hope all is well with you!  Joey found out tonight he made the varsity team and will be the starting catcher. He's really excited, he's not sure, but he thinks he is the only Sophomore and will know for sure tomorrow. Just wanted to say thanks to you and the Baseball Factory for all the training and player development. He's been working hard and the experience he had in Arizona made him want to make it really bad, so we're hoping for a good season, and he'd like to come try out again when you are here. He'd also like to go back to Arizona this year, I don't know if that's an option, but we'd be up for it.

Hey Mr. Brown, Camp was exhilarating! I'm wishing I could still be there right now. I thought everything was well organized and flowed great, and except for some rain we had no downtime which I thought helped me understand how much I need to work on my stamina. I performed decently, I didn't play as well as I would have liked defensively, but I now know the things I need to work on. My hitting was pretty good, I thought. I went 5 for 8 with 2 doubles and 3-4 runs. I'm not sure if I had any RBIs because I usually started the inning. I thought having Coach Murray was pretty great. He was really funny and kept the team loose the whole time. Overall, this had to be the best baseball camp I had ever attended. All the coaches were great and kept things moving, while providing a loose atmosphere. It was just plain awesome! Thanks.

Chris, As a parent I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful opportunity you all provided to Niko. The coaching staff was amazing. They provided nothing but positive, constructive instruction to the boys. I have been to numerous showcase events, tryouts, college workouts and baseball games but this event was by far my favorite. The facilities (hotel, batting cages and baseball fields) were outstanding. I really appreciated the great communication Ryan Liddle had with the boys. There was little down time, and more than enough to keep the boys busy. I especially enjoyed coach Sofield, he is very charismatic and he gave the most heart felt, well meaning talk to the boys about the significance of the attitude on and off the field. He taught them about winning teams who unconditionally support each other. He told them how disruptive it is to a team when you wish a teammate ill will, when you get jealous because you are on the bench and someone is starting over you. He really drove home the message that you are more attractive to coach when you are positive, when you encourage your team, and lift up those teammates who are suffering. He asked that the boys always remember to thank those the help them along the way. I learned a priceless lesson about the process and the approach are what really matters, not necessarily the results. A hard hit ball is a victory even if you make an out. I never looked at it like that. I also wanted to share that Niko's hitting coach was there for the workout day and the first game. He played in the bigs, and was very impressed with the event. He was really impressed by the coaches, the instruction and the positive manner in which they dealt with the boys. He even said that he would encourage his kids to do this event. It was one of the best he had seen. Thanks so much. I had the best time, and both Niko and I learned so much. I would love for the coaches to know what an impact they made on us, and Niko' s approach to the game, amazing.

Hi Coach Dan, Hope you are doing well, Nathan graduated on May 10. He finished with a gpa of 3.4, his overall was a 3.0. Nathan also finished strong on the baseball field. He received a couple of awards: Highest team batting average 409, 1st team all district infield (he played short stop this season) and team mvp. Nathan helped with the junior kids, i was told he was a wonderful mentor. Nate also is playing summer ball for NOLA. He is registered to attend Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond but he is still trying to play ball at another  college. I am so very proud of him and I wanted to thank you for all that you have done. Your help and the Baseball Factory camps played a big roll in his accomplishments.

Hello Woody and Dave; Dave, David and I want to thank you for your effort and assistance in fulfilling David's dream of playing college baseball. He has received 60% of scholarship and grant money towards all four years at Earlham College. He is very excited to play for Coach Sakostis. We appreciate all that we received in the training and education with The Baseball Factory. You are a first class operation and it would be my husband and my hope that David can someday work for The Baseball Factory.

Chris will send you his own comments and impressions, but I can tell you he was totally blown away and had the time of his life.  He loved all the coaches and loved the training and instruction.  His team won the O/A championship and Chris drove in the tying run during the "Alabama Shuffle" to settle the winner of the tie breaker.  I will be interested in hearing the impressions he sends to you.  Right now all he talking about is going to "Omaha" and riding on Pirate City cloud nine.

Ursula and I were equally blow away by the whole experience!!!  Every parent I spoke to had nothing but good thing to say about the experience.

Hi Adam! Nick is doing well. He has made a definite choice to play for LSU Eunice - which is a division II Junior College about three hours from home. It has a great academic curriculum with 100% of its credits directly transferring to one of five Division I schools. They have won their World Series three of last five years. He decided on the Junior College as opposed to holding out for a better offer to one of his dream Division I schools. He knew he would be redshirted freshman year and probably on the practice squad second year, given the strength of the bench on the roster. It all boils down to playing time. He wants to play now. I'm thrilled he's chosen a strong program with a serious work ethic. The coach has been there 8 years. He focuses on accountability, academics, and tolerates little partying! He has an impressive scholarship record of getting 100% of his performing players a full ride for their last two years with strong Division I schools. Nick's thoughts are...I can only get better with playing time. Adam, thanks so much for all your support over the last two years. Baseball Factory offered a full range of support and education for parents. The instruction offered to the players allowed for a national measuring stick, and a realistic view of ball play at the next level. I think Nick now has a realistic goal and a plan to get there! Take care and I will keep you posted on his play!

Patrick, Thank you for everything you do. I am sure your job is very rewarding on a personal level but you should know that your hard work and dedication is appreciated and it allows young men the opportunity to pursue a dream. I know with the hundreds of kids that pass through your program each year, it is hard to keep up at times. Feel free to forward this to your staff and coaches. They also play a huge part in your program's success. The coaches knowledge and the level of training is surpassed by none! Thank you for allowing these young men the necessary tools, guidance and training!

Will, Just wanted to tell you Dylan (and me) had a great time this past weekend. I thought the instruction was great and Dylan said he learned a bunch of new things. The hitting instruction paid immediate dividends as he was really making great contact all weekend from both the coach and player pitched games. I also had a long chat with Matt Schilling and really got to understand the philosophy of the program.

Hi Steve, To answer your question, "Did he enjoy the event and working with our staff?" Here is what Stewart posted on Facebook: "Just finished one of the best weekends of my entire life!!!!!! I had the most fun ever!!!! And finally got some specific position coaching!!!!" Guess that about sums it up! Kate and I were very impressed with all the coaching and how well the players responded to their instruction. The pace of the weekend activities was power-packed, no idle time, and days and nights full of baseball. The games were especially great to watch, and to see the players in game-type situations. Stewart especially ennjoyed Coach Cutspec's first base specific coaching. Kate and I were glad you told the players to tell their parents all about the weekend. We had a super discussion while waiting for our flight back to Seattle, and we keep hearing bits and pieces each day. Stewart is interested in future Baseball Factory events. Thank you, once again, to you and the coaching staff for making this a meaningful and beneficial weekend for Stewart.

I can’t tell you how great of a time we had in Arizona. The whole trip was well worth the cost. The boys were treated with great care. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

As it goes for Jacob, I think he did great! He pitched 4 innings of the first game, struck out 7, and gave up 2 hits (one Texas leaguer and one hard single). He had great command of his stuff that day and his velocity was good.

We had a great coaching staff. The head coach from the South Carolina college headed our team up. I would love for my boy to play for a coach like him.

The facilities were wonderful. The fields were in great condition as well as how good the competition was.

Nick was in Maryland over the past weekend for the Infield Accelerated Training Weekend which was definitely time well spent. Jason Scott, Matt Schilling and Joe Lake are wonderful! Jason spent a lot of time with Nick and helped him improve some skills. It was refreshing to hear Coach Schilling at the end of the program remind the players to thank their parents. And much appreciated! It is always important to receive feedback on what to work on to improve your game. We are looking forward to another weekend in Maryland with the Baseball Factory coaching staff.

I just wanted to recap this weekend in Columbia, MD. One word to describe it is WOW. Nick learned in one weekend things he has never been taught, he sucked it up like a sponge. We have gone out and bought cones for conditioning work and an infield paddle glove for soft hands work, he is taking this very serious. Thank you so much for seeing something in him and giving him this opportunity to excel.

I just wanted to thank you for helping us to make the decision to have my son Erik Pratz participate in the Premium Video Program. It was an amazing experience. From a parent's perspective, I was able to gather some positive, concrete information about the college recruiting process and the next steps that Erik needs to take in order to give him a real shot at playing at the college level.

Erik had a great day; he started out a bit nervous (first time competing at this level) but finished the day feeling positive about his overall performance. He is looking forward to the finished video and his evaluations, as am I. Of course, he hopes that his performance was good enough to be considered for one of the upcoming Baseball Factory trainings/tournaments.

Hey Chris,How are you doing? As you know today was my final day at Pirate City, and I had such a great time that I wanted to email you as soon as I could so you have an idea of how much I enjoyed it.  All the coaches were extremely insightful and provided useful tips and information regarding mechanics that I believe can take my ability to the next level through hard work.  The facility was awesome and the experience was incredible.  I played pretty well in my opinion.  I really hit the ball hard almost every at bat while playing solid defensively and I think this tournament has given me some much needed confidence for my high school season.I even pitched two no hit innings today, which I couldn't have pictured happening when I got here.  I'm really glad you presented me with the opportunity to participate in this event and I'm extremely grateful and happy that it was worth it for me.  I'll talk to you soon and I'll be keeping an eye out for other events you guys have coming up!

Hi Patrick, Just wanted to update you on my sons James and Graham. James is going to Elmhurst College in the fall. He was recruited to play for them after being seen at a catcher's clinic his junior year. It has the academic programs he wants and it's close to home so I can see some of his games. They also play in the CCIW, so he'll be playing against Graham, who, as you know, is at Carthage. James' hitting has improved tremendously. He's one of my top two hitters this year. Graham has earned a starting outfield spot at Carthage as a sophomore, beating out several upperclassmen. I'm really grateful for their experience at Baseball Factory. They learned a lot, and had good experiences, even though James struggled at the plate. However, his struggles inspired him to reconstruct his swing and get back on track. It also meant that I was throwing him about 200 pitches every day, which is definitely paying off. Thanks a lot.

Dear Dan, I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support and knowledge during this college process with Nick. I am happy where he has ended up. But most importantly you gave me a gift that I think you are unaware of. You helped me to put aside my own needs and to step back and to see what my son wanted. I will never forget the phone call when you asked the simple question of why did I not want to go too far from home? The way in which you asked opened my eyes to be more sensitive and to listen to Nick's dreams and desires. I have repeated that conversation often with other parents who are in the college process. Dear Mr. Sclafani, My name is Brian Shearer and we met in 2010 at Cape Cod.  I do not know if you remember me but I am frequently in the Columbia office for lessons and like you, I went to Trinity School.  You were very supportive of me last summer and it meant a lot. In August 2010 my high school years began when I entered Mount Saint Joseph. Academically, I took all honors courses and did very well.  Athletically, I continued to develop my skills at Baseball Factory and played for MSJ in the fall and spring.  I also played on a team this summer.  We just completed our season by winning the league’s end of season tournament. In addition, I attended several Baseball Factory events throughout the year and once again attended the Cape Cod Pro Training. Although you could not be present this summer, I wanted to thank you for having your company run such great events. It is amazing how much I learn from the instruction I receive through the Baseball Factory. I want you to know how great Adam Darvick, Coach Schilling, and Coach Lake have been to me over the past two years. I really appreciate everything they have done for me. Each one has taught me a lot not only about baseball but also about life. Coach Schilling, Coach Lake, and all the coaches at the Cape have great eyes for picking up little changes that are needed and they have drills for every part of the game. Coach Bernhardt is a great man. Between his instruction at the Cape and Coach Lake’s instruction during my lessons in Maryland, I really believe my fielding fundamentals are getting better. I thought Coach Sofield’s talk last summer was one of the best I have ever heard and he was even more inspirational this summer. I’ll never forget his explanation of the “pain of discipline” vs. the “pain of regret.” I also really liked how Coach Bernhardt stressed perseverance and having a good attitude. If you ever need someone to work or intern at the Baseball Factory please keep me in mind. I would work hard and I know it would be a great learning experience. I hope that I made a good impression and that people could see signs of improvement. It would be an honor to be invited to other Baseball Factory Events.

I want to thank you and the entire Baseball Factory team for putting on a great event in Tucson at the 2011 Under Armour Pre-Season All-American Tournament. My son, Eric Moskal (American team #11, from Nashville, TN), was thrilled and honored to be there. And so was I. Everything was well-planned and ran smoothly, and we enjoyed the entire weekend. I especially appreciated your personal remarks to the players on both Friday and Saturday nights. Your message was right on target and is one that cannot be repeated too often to our young men. I did not get a chance to speak with you in Tucson and wanted to share my thanks.

I also want you to know that Baseball Factory has been a huge boost for my son. Not only has it helped improve his skills and level of play (Eric was selected to play for a national team at the Fall Classic in Jupiter, FL and the coaches there were outstanding), but it has been a springboard to help him regain his confidence after suffering a serious, life-threatening injury on the baseball field at the end of his sophomore year in high school. It took him nearly a full year to recover from that injury, and I was not sure if I would ever see him back on the ball field. But he is a tough young man and has come back amazingly strong, and Baseball Factory was there for him, hosting a tryout in Nashville, TN, at exactly the right time to help him move to the next level. I can’t thank you enough for allowing my son Michael to participate in the Baseball Camp this summer. He is having such a great time. He is so happy to be part of this and he is just a bundle of news when I see him at the end of the day. He can’t wait to tell me what he has learned and to re-live the events of the day. I just wanted to touch base to let you know that Andrew recently accepted a scholarship to play college baseball at the University of Maryland. The Baseball Factory experience at Pirate City in 2013 and 2014 played a huge role in inspiring him and encouraging him to work hard so he could develop and play at the highest levels. Andrew is now considered one of the top up and coming LHP in his class in NJ.

What an amazing experience!!  Payne and I both had a great time!! Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful, those that worked at Pirate City and Baseball Factory Staff.

Check in started at 6pm on Thursday night. We were there shortly after 6. After getting his room key, we dropped his clothes off in his room and checked in with Baseball Factory Staff just outside the clubhouse where he was to take his baseball equipment. It was optional, but the batting cages were open if he wanted to go out until the welcome meeting at 8pm; which he chose to do. It had been a few months since he swung his bat. There were other attendees and Baseball Factory Staff in the cages. It was amazing to me that the staff was already working with them. It wasn't just throwing pitches but showing them how to improve. What the staff was picking up on in such a short time and saying hey try this, this is what is happening when you swing like that. I saw improvement in Payne that night. When they played against the other teams, I saw he was applying what he had learned.

I liked having the option of coming and going whenever they were out on the fields or in the cages. I was able to see what the staff was working on them with and see how and if he applied it later. I was able to ask Payne about different things and will know if he still applies that knowledge he gained, back at home.

Payne talked non-stop for awhile about this training!! He would describe different things he was taught, how he used to do it, and why this other way was better.  He would also say when he messed up because he didn't follow what he had learned.

The facility was amazing as well! It is full of history in itself! Extremely easy to get around. It provided a rec room where the kids could kick back, relax, and make new friends. It wasn't an "out to the ball fields and back to your room" experience.

The only snag we seemed to hit with this experience is with a pitch of Payne's. He did not get to work on his knuckle ball. He pitched on Friday and made the comment in between "games" that he didn't get to throw it. I said something to his manager afterwards. He said he would speak with the pitching staff and let them know but didn't know if Payne would pitch again that weekend. I thanked him. When I talked to Payne later he said someone on the pitching staff had spoke with him and said next time Payne needed to speak up and say something. As Payne and I were talking we were both under the assumption the staff had the scouting information from his tryouts in Dublin. We decided it was a first time experience for us and if he gets a chance to do this again, he will say something.

We had an amazing time. I am looking forward to hearing from you about Payne's performance. Nichole

Aidan had an amazing time. He felt the entire weekend was first rate. He said he said the facility was great, had really good roommates, learned a lot from the coaching staff, was able to hold his own and felt he played really well. We had a workout locally last night and I was able to immediately notice subtle things on his glove hand just while he was warming up and playing catch. He also seems to have gained some maturity and perspective, he carries himself differently.

If anything he came out of the weekend more committed to the process and the game and motivated to continue to work hard. We feel like the Baseball Factory has been a real driver in motivating Aidan on and off the field. Many thanks to you and the coaching staff for everything you are doing. I just wanted to tell you how pleased we were with the Baseball Factory experience. It is truly a class act. JJ and the other coaches on the black squad were absolutely phenomenal. Caleb has grown and matured this week a lot I'm sure. The team built a great chemistry, its amazing how tight those guys are after only a week. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the culture in the dugout from the coaching staff. I would love to see that exact group play again together, they are an extremely talented group of boys.

Hey Coach Darvick! I cannot put into words my experience in Florida! I am so grateful I was granted this opportunity to play at such a great facility in front of such great coaches and playing against good competition. I feel like Pirate City gave me a baseline on what it will take to play at the next level.

I am so excited and much more motivated now. This showcase not only made me a much better player with more experience, but gave me insight on past experiences from players and coaches in the baseball factory program (the recruiting seminar was fantastic!) I took as many notes as I could while I was down there and I look to incorporate the drills they gave us to practice on my own.

Going home, I feel like I bring a gem of knowledge that I hope to share with my brothers that can help us through all assets of life, not just sports. Again I want to thank you for the taste that helped me get hungry to become the best scholar athlete I can be. I will stay in touch.

Hello Chris, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in Pirate City training and tournament. I had a great time and met some great coaches and players. The coaches taught me a lot and still made it a fun experience. They really worked on individual problems. When I asked them to look at something and give me feedback, they provided helpful instruction to me quickly. The players who were on my team really got along well and we came together within the first couple hours of meeting each other. I felt as if I was on a team with players I had known my entire life. At this camp/tournament I learned new things to improve my game. In the individual defense, I learned where I need to be positioned for various situations. For example, at shortstop the normal playing position for a right handed hitter is 9 steps towards left field and 6 steps towards third base from second base. On a left handed hitter it is 9 steps towards left field and 2 steps toward third base. Also my coach and I worked on my hitting after the first games on Sunday. He said my shoulder was coming out before my hands were moving towards the ball. This caused my hips to turn and made me roll over the ball and ground out. When I really focused on that during cage work at night, I got to the point where I could feel myself opening too soon. It became an easy fix and am now able to adjust this quickly. Another thing I learned was in the bullpen. A coach really talked to me about slide-step from the stretch. He also taught me how to throw a two-seam fastball. The two-seam fastball really worked for me and the slide-step came easy as well. I look forward to putting these skills into play. I look forward to seeing the coaches evaluation in a couple of weeks.  In the meantime, I will visit the Baseball Factory website for more information on baseball skills and college recruitment. Dear Mr. Nagler, I just wanted to tell you that I had the best experience down in Florida at the Winter Classic. I had the time of my life! I learned, made friends, worked hard, and had fun. I would easily do it all over again. The food was great, the coaches very nice, weather fantastic, and instruction very helpful. One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was working with and competing against fellow players who are as serious about baseball as I am! The coaches left me with a handful of new things to work on - such as being balanced when I'm loading to hit the ball, being confident at the plate, and staying low when delivering throws across the diamond. I am looking forward to future opportunities with baseball factory to keep getting better as a baseball player, along with getting closer to my dream of playing D1 college baseball. Happy New Year to you too! I had an amazing experience at Pirate City! It was an all around great time. From things like making new friends, to learning valuable information to help better my career as a player. One thing that really stuck out to me about this camp, was how helpful all the coaches were, that they want you to get better, and will take time to go over what you need to do to improve. I took a lot of notes, especially on pitching, as Coach Tolberg was a great instructor, and gave me key tips to stay on top of my game.I will make sure to go visit the member section, and my player page. I've been on it before, and I'm aware of how valuable and helpful the resources on that page can be. I learned a lot about not only the website, but recruiting information in general while I was at the camp. Jesse Tome gave a great presentation at the recruiting seminar, and I went up after and had a conversation with him about recruiting help.I look forward to the future, and being able to stay in contact with you. I want to thank you and the Baseball Factory for everything that you have done for me. I believe that Baseball Factory helped me get my name out for exposure and ultimately landing me on a D1 program. My first year at McNeese State I was redshirted. The next year I only had 3 at bats, my first coming in the bottom of the 9th against LSU where I got my first hit. I ended that year hitting .667 with a double and a strikeout. Last year was amazing; I started about half the season ending the year hitting .297 overall and .315 in conference. It landed me on the All Southland Conference Second Team. This year I think there will be bigs things happening with the McNeese baseball team, I feel like we will be pretty solid offensively, defensively, and on the mound. I just wanted to check in with you and let you know how much I appreciate you and the Baseball Factory program.

Mr. Packer, I wanted to let you know how Azusa went. I had a great time with my team, it was the first time my team ever went into the playoffs! I loved my two coaches and made some friends as well. I didn't get much feedback at all on pitching, but we did go over my hitting video. My coach told me to start generating some power to the front side during my swing, instead of staying on my back leg and just throwing my upper body at the ball. Overall, my hitting was up and down every game, and I pitched well. I think in total it was one of my favorite events. Also, last Thursday I verbally committed to Drew University in New Jersey for pitching. I want to thank you and the Baseball Factory for all the help, because I sent my video from my webpage to him and he loved it. I have an official visit September 19-20th coming up. Hopefully we can talk soon before I go up there next month.

Dave, I just wanted to let you know that Andy committed to the University of Massachusetts Lowell. They scouted him all fall during AAU and were very impressed with comparing the videos from 2013 and the 2014 Pre-Season All-America tournament! He got a great scholarship offer. He was also recruited by Boston College, Holy Cross, Bryant, and St. John’s but he just felt ULowell was the best fit for him to play D1 as a freshman. Thanks for all of your help with getting him exposure.

Dave, Justin has committed to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, a D1 school in the Ohio Valley Conference. They have offered him an academic and athletic scholarship. He just recently signed his NCAA NLI for them. Thank you for all your help over the years and please relay this to Steve Sclafani as well. Thanks again!

Hello Mr. Forester, I wanted to let you know that I have committed to Denison University for next year. I had the opportunity for roster spots at a D1 school and a walk on spot at another D1 school but I think that Denison is a better fit for me. Thank you very much for all of your help. The Baseball Factory allowed me to play in front of a lot of coaches and I really think helped me find my home.

Chris, I ended up with 5 separate offers and ended up with a full ride from Tusculum and signed a few weeks back, and am looking forward to attend this fall! I'm super excited about it! If it wasn't for Baseball Factory and the videos you guys put together for me I wouldn't have gotten the opportunities I did college wise. So thank you! I have referred all of the underclassmen I'm constantly around to Baseball Factory and most have them have now attended or are going to attend! You guys are awesome and opened so many doors, so thank you!

Dear Dave, Just thought you’d like to know that Josh played at Montgomery College his freshman year and even made appearance at the JUCO World Series. He redshirted his sophomore and now has transferred to Div II school in New York called Nyack. He’s doing great –and even got a hefty baseball scholarship! Thanks for your support of him earlier!

Hi Dan, Just a quick note to let you know that Steven committed to Albion College today. We visited campus today, and he loved the atmosphere and the friendly camaraderie, and we met with the head coach and one of his assistants, both of whom were convinced that Steve could make a solid impact on the team. Coach Carden wants Steve to continue to work on his conditioning and to improve his speed and agility, but they were both impressed with what he has done thus far and are sure that he can swing the bat well at the D3 level. Thank you for all of your support throughout this process. You and the Baseball Factory have really helped Steve build on his strengths, work on areas that need attention, and instilled confidence in his abilities. Steve couldn’t have done it without you guys! I’ll be in touch again soon.

Mr. Wuebben, Things are going very well, thank you. I am keeping warm and dry this offseason inside the wrestling room. I'm currently ranked 10th in the state of Illinois. Just a little something to hold me off until baseball rolls around! I did send out the webpage, and I have had great communication with Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne. I visited the campus, and I received an email today from the head coach; he is mailing the letter of intent for me to sign. I am excited and looking forward to playing college ball. He signed his letter of intent last Friday. We are all very excited about the opportunity he has been given. Midland is a nationally ranked top ten Division 1 Junior College. Just wanted to let you know Michael has committed to attend and play baseball at Penn State-Altoona next year.

He had about ten or twelve East Coast (D-1 and D-3) schools from Virginia to Massachusetts express an interest in having him pitch for their teams. The Penn State-Altoona coach as well as several of the other schools specifically cited his performance on the Team One video from the Northeast Showcase as the reason they were interested in him.

He also used the sample player prospect letter (from your website) to contact some other coaches and almost always got a quick response.

I appreciate your help on the camps and showcases as well as the Baseball Factory/TeamOne assessments of Michael's skills.

He had a hard time picking which school to attend, but I think PSU-Altoona is a good "fit" for him based upon their academics, school size and the quality of their baseball program.

We have been passing along our Baseball Factory success story to everyone and I shared your information with several area high school coaches as well as many kids in the area. We have been encouraging them to attend a Baseball Factory event and most have actually asked me to get them registered up and for information.

Hi Dan, The Frostburg team is 8 – 4 so far this season, and Tyler has had limited opportunities to play – there are 37 players on the roster – but is thoroughly enjoying the college experience. A further testament to Baseball Factory's focus on academics, Tyler made the Dean's List last semester and will become a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a National Freshman Scholastic Honor Society in April. Long time no talk sir.  I hope all is well and I hope you guys at the Factory have a fantastic holiday. I have been working extremely hard and we did well last year. We won the OVC regular season, tied with Austin Peay. We had to sweep Murray State to win it and we did!  We led the country in homers per game and were second behind Florida!  I had 14 homers last season, my average was a little low, I didn't have many multi hit games.  But I figured a lot out this summer and learned a lot.  I got a chance to take batting practice with Craig Biggio, me and his son are great friends.

I always think of the good old Baseball Factory days where I trained with you guys and went on trips.  To this day, I could not thank the Factory enough for the skills I have acquired from the teaching I received from you guys.  I have big goals and i am working really hard to reach it. I got my 60 yard dash time down to a 7.26 and i am getting stronger and bigger!  Hopefully I can be up there in homers this year and lead my team to another championship.  I want to show you guys at the Factory my Ring someday.  It is amazing and i thought about you guys the second I got it!  Hope all is well! Also, tell Schilling i said hello and Bernhardt!

Hi Dave, I just wanted to give you the update on Patrick's college search. After a few fall clinics, he received some interest from D3s, but he kept working, and in November and December was contacted by UNC Greensboro and Maryland. He visited each school and really liked the coaching staff at each. Each school offered him a roster spot. Patrick will be attending Maryland. Thanks for all your help; the recognition he received through your program was a good boost to his baseball resume. The website and video was a useful tool when communicating with schools. The experience playing in Trenton this past summer prepared him for the pace and intensity of college clinics. We are looking forward to the high school season starting on March 1st.

The coach of my team and my position coach and my conditioning coach and hitting instructor gave me a lot of great advice and how to carry myself to the next level. Good afternoon Dan, I would like to thank you for all that you and the Baseball Factory did to help us throughout the recruiting process for my son Jacob Hoyle. Thought I would drop you a line to let you know how he is doing. Jacob is playing his first season with the Western Carolina Catamounts. He loves college ball and is playing well. He has started all of the games so far at either DH or RF and even pitched part of an inning. He is leading team in BA, RBI, doubles, TB and HR (Tie), he is second in the team in hits. He is also in the top 5 in the Southern Conference in most of these areas. His Catamount team upset #8 Georgia yesterday. Once again thanks for the help.

Hi Patrick, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your assistance and guidance through the whole recruiting process. The entire experience with Baseball Factory was fantastic, and the trips to Arizona were definitely a highlight for both Christian and our family alike. The Under Armour Pre-Season All-America tournament was undoubtedly one of the best experiences Christian has had to date. He stays in touch with many of the players he met, and they all seem to follow each other’s progress. Christian is a senior now at Lake Stevens HS. We were contacted by several schools thanks to the Baseball Factory program and video package we sent out, and after weighing several options, Christian has decided to stay local. He is going to start out playing for Everett C.C. and was offered a nice scholarship package to play for them. He will hopefully transfer to a D1 school following his stint at Everett CC. The college recruiting seminars were very helpful, and the experience with Baseball Factory was very memorable and purposeful. As many of you know, Kevin has committed to Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts and Coach Falcon has assured him of a spot on the team. Thank you all for your involvement in his development, both as a young man and as a baseball player. I believe that Kevin is headed to a school that is a great fit in every way. For Kevin, you have accomplished the goal of "building the most complete student-athlete both on and off the field by providing world class instruction, life changing experiences and new opportunities that springboard student-athletes to the right college fit." Kevin has been on an upward trajectory, both academically and athletically, throughout high school and I give a large share of the credit to you because of how you stress thinking ahead and encouraging the boys to strive to fulfill their potential. All of you have had a role in Kevin's development, but I want to especially thank Dave, Woody, Schil, Joe and Rick Sofield. Dave and Woody have given us expert guidance - Dave since Kevin was in 8th grade and Woody for the last year. Schil and Joe gave Kevin instruction that he didn't get up here. Until high school, Kevin never had instruction at playing middle infield, but when he tried out for an AAU team run by the coach of Curry College's team, the coach saw that Kevin had the right footwork. The coach told me that if kids didn't have it by that age (15 - 16), they likely never would get it. He got it from working with the Baseball Factory and was recruited as a middle infielder for Clark. Likewise, Schill deconstructed and reconstructed Kevin's swing in a couple of superb lessons. Kevin's player page was critical to Kevin being recruited by Clark. I don't think Coach Falcon ever saw Kevin play or perform at a showcase, but he said that he and his assistant's studied the video, stats and evaluations on Kevin's player page. Finally, please also let Rick Sofield know what a powerful and positive impact he had on Kevin. One time we were at an AAU tournament in Connecticut. The team was to play mid-Sunday morning and the coach wanted the team at the field an hour before the scheduled game time. We went to bed fairly early Saturday night, but his teammates were running the halls and knocking on our door well past midnight. In the morning, as we were headed to the car to get to the field on time, his teammates were in the restaurant eating breakfast and the coach was just entering the restaurant for breakfast. We were, of course, the only ones from the team at the field until just shortly before the game was to begin. At one point, Kevin asked why we had to be on time when we knew everyone else would be late. I responded by asking "What would Coach Sofield do when all but one of the players is late?" Kevin smiled and replied: "He would forfeit the game." I think Kevin still asks himself "what would Coach Sofield expect of me" and acts accordingly. I will always be grateful.

I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season. I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed your player/parent seminar last Thursday night. I really appreciated your candor and your inclusion of the skills you acquired and lessons learned during your college athletics career; all delivered with sincerity and humor. So thank you very much for that. Before I left for the evening, I did see Miles waiting in line to introduce himself, so I believe your point of initiating direct contact resonated with him.

Miles is the best person to express his enjoyment of this experience, but I want to make you aware how much he valued the feedback from all of his coaches and trainers. At the games, I noticed he spent quite a bit of time speaking with his team coach, Zac Livingston, for whom he expressed a great deal of respect.

Thank you again for all your efforts at the beginning of this process. I know Miles is looking forward to continuing to work with Baseball Factory in the future.

The UA SoCal Classic was great! Our team went 2-0-1 and we had a run differential of 25. I enjoyed all the people and they were great to hang out with. I wish that I would've heard of baseball factory sooner. The expertise overall was amazing. The coaches were great and I learned a lot from them. I was wondering what their email addresses are so I can send them a thank you message. I liked the pre-game training before the first day and all the tips to become better. Our team had good chemistry too. The University of La Verne is a great field and beautiful view. This was a great thing for me.

This week was great! I would have liked to hit better than I did. But I learned a ton from my two coaches, Ron and Don. Both were willing to spend extra time and show me something or just talk. Getting to work with coach Jimmy Johnson was awesome too, he gave me some things to work on and drills to help as well. The Omaha National World Series was an amazing experience. I was expecting great coaching and great instruction but the camp surpassed every expectation I had. Iowa Western Community College has a great campus and facilities. These facilities allowed for everyone from every team to interact and socialize, which allowed all the players to get to know each other as ball players and as friends. One thing that surprised me was that during the games all of the coaches coached all of the players. This allowed me as a player to get coaching as an outfielder, catcher, and a base runner almost continuously around the diamond.

Steve, It was a great experience, Manuel had a blast! He felt that having professional trainers providing feedback and strategies on improving his skills was the best. He enjoyed being on the field all day long with all his team members. Coach Johnson and Bryce were an inspiration for Manuel. As a parent I felt that we got our money's worth do to the excellent training our son received plus it was extremelly organized, quality is the key word here. Manuel is speechless as he had lots of fun! And he is motivated to play ball at the next level. He is also interested in doing future events with the Baseball Factory. Hi Steve. Nick had a wonderful time. He did learn a lot and worked hard. He was exhausted by the end, but extremely pleased. I didn't hear from him that entire weekend until he was at the airport to come home!! I think that's a great indicator of his interest and dedication. My step dad was Nick's companion for the trip and he thought the speech that took place Saturday evening, alone, was worth paying for. It's a wonderful program...keep up the good work.

Mr. Nagler I was thrilled with the turnout of the event in Arizona. The experience was great and the atmosphere was fun. The thing that I liked the most from this tournament was the competition and the teams. The information given by the staff and coaches was very insightful and useful. The experience was probably the most fun thing I have done with baseball in a while! The idea that there was only one other kid from my state was crazy because there were kids from all over the United States, and one from Canada who was on my team. This experience really helped me with learning the game of baseball more and learning how to become a good prospect and interest in colleges. Thank you very much Mr.Nagler for this wonderful opportunity I have been afforded. It was fun, helpful, insightful and just an amazing experience.

Hello Patrick, We just wanted to thank you for an excellent week at the UA 18U tournament this past week. Corey had a great time and learned some valuable tools that he will be able to use down the road in the future. He could not have asked for any two better coaches than he had (Kent Wright and Jack Lind). They did an outstanding job with the entire team. I just wish the unforeseen had not happened with his elbow while he was pitching, but the coaches understood and took care of him. Thank you and the staff at Baseball Factory for that. Josh, He did enjoy the camp and now eager to skip high school and go to college.  If life was so simple to just have fun playing baseball.  We were happily surprised to see so many other Hawaii kids, some from Leo's school. Aside from the fun experience he mentioned he learned a lot of good pointers for his position and batting adjustments. We thought the coaches were very positive and provided good one on one instruction.  He appreciated the help, especially from coach Mike. The only thing Leo mentioned to change was that he wished it was longer.  :) Look forward to hearing of his progress.  He is going into 8th grade and we need him to now understand that his grades are just as important if not more than baseball to find a college program that fits his/our needs. We appreciated Justin's welcome meeting and making the boys aware of the different programs, his 3 E's approach to sports and life in general.

Dear Chris, Thank you for giving me the amazing experience of becoming a part of Baseball Factory, and the opportunity to go to Cape Cod this past week. Going into the week I was nervous about who my roommate would be and if I would be good enough to play against the competition there.Tuesday-Friday was all about the importance of baserunning, individual defense (I was a shortstop), the fundamentals of hitting, and controlled scrimmages. I learned a lot from the great coaches. Some of the things I learned were: when hitting, keep your hands "inside" on the ball; when fielding, get close to the ground  and get your hands as far out when the ball is coming towards you; when leading, stay balanced and always look at the pitcher. I also made some awesome friends that I hope to keep in touch with. Thanks again for the opportunity and I hope to be a part of many more!

 Dear Chris Brown, I had a blast in Omaha; it was like Pirate City times 3! It was an amazing experience and again it was the life I want to live. Some things I learned while I was there were that during a game if you're positive with a lot of energy the people around you are going to be the same way. Another thing was that when catching, a good starting point to put your glove is at your knees because it will be at the hitter's knees. For hitting I learned a few drills to do from Coach T, including the pitch recognition drill. Again, I had an excellent time and want to thank you again for recommending me for the event and opportunity!

Steve, Hi there we just wanted to thank you again for another great opportunity and great tournament. Dylan had a great time and was all smiles all weekend! The visual acuity test was very interesting. He really valued the information and is already asking if he will get the same report. Hi Joe, Thank you for a great tournament that you and your coaching staff organized!  The talent was tremendous, the coaching was great, and the entire event was organized and professional. I'm always impressed with the knowledge of the coaching staff at Baseball Factory and their desire to teach and motivate the student-athletes in a positive training environment.  Please let your coaches know that Zac and I appreciate every coach this weekend and the time and effort they gave to Zac. We really enjoyed the tournament this weekend; the games were incredible and well played, and Zac came away from the weekend with a renewed confidence in his abilities AND a healthy perspective on areas he can improve within his skill set.  Zac said its some of the best talent he's faced to date and he's determined to improve his numbers from this year's tournament at a future event. The college recruiting information was informative and Zac and I discussed the information on the way back to the hotel.  We'll certainly talk to Scott over the coming weeks and develop a plan to 'introduce' Zac to some of his 'favorite' colleges. Baseball Factory, Our son Nick Cohan has benefited in many ways joining up with your fine organization. Nick’s BF rep Patrick Wuebben has been more than I could ever hope for as far as someone who cares about the athlete, is knowledgeable about the process and who has been there for us answering many questions along the way. He has become a friend as well. The tournaments have been well organized and professionally run and Nick has made some very good friends from across the country participating in these events. Equally as important, Nick has been able to promote himself in a manner that is consistent with how the colleges want to look for their athletes and that is huge. The combination of Nick’s baseball ability, his excellent high school grades and your organization’s networking process has been a winning combination for our son and we can’t tell you how happy we have been. I hope all has been well these past few months, I actually texted you when I arrived back from Tucson but I don't know if you received it or not so I though I'd send an email. Even though it was over a month ago, thePre-Season All-American tournament was the best experience of my life, easily. I gained valuable pitching experience and competed against the best, even got a picture with Roger Clemens! Our high school season started last week and I'm liking our team's chances to go far into the playoffs as States are a very realistic shot for us this year.

Good evening Mr. Naddelman and Mr. Bernhardt, Thank you for inviting Andy to Arizona. You may recall, Andy works with Chris and Ralph Vasami here in Mamaroneck. Andy had a blast in Arizona. The National team he was on was really stacked! It was a pleasure to watch all the players execute 8 DP's, perfect relays and great picks at 1B, etc. All strong players, the scouts I spoke with said it was one of the best teams there. It was a great experience for a 15-year-old playing with so many top players. Andy said these were among the best pitchers he has ever caught. Being 'coached' by professional scouts was a real treat. Mr Minetto of the Giants and Mr. Davis of the Dodgers were especially nice and made Andy's weekend even more memorable and special. The team gelled right away; many of the players went for lunch Sunday between games. Not only were the players top-notch, the parents were friendly and we all cheered for every player - it was like they were a regular summer team. The only regret was they did not play against the Lone Stars, that would have been a game! My wife and I enjoyed the opening ceremonies and the roll call of teams/players. Andy and I attended the Recruiting seminar. Ralph was spot-on: Mr. Mooney is an entertaining speaker. All in all a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting.

Hello, I am Dominic DeFeo, I went to your National Tryout in St. Louis, MO. It was a very good tryout. I am a senior at Blue Springs South High School. At the camp I ran the 60 and I ran a 7.7. The coaches said that was average for a catcher. Since the camp I have reduced my 60 time to a 7.2, which I ran at my High School this pre-season. I also reduced my pop time. At the tryout it was a 2.2. You [Baseball Factory] told me I needed to strengthen my arm. You guys gave me a strength workout for playing catch. I have followed this workout everyday. So going off of the strength practice I have reduced my time to a 1.9. I just wanted to show you that with a little practice and hard work, good things will happen. Thank you for your time. Good Morning Dave, Well Andrew made it through his first tournament with your program in Florida and he had a great time and I believe learned a lot. We did as well. Everyone was great, always taking the time to talk with us about anything. Every coach, any staff member it didn't matter. Everyone always had the attitude that they were there to help. Joe Lake was great. He took time to chat whenever we had questions even though he was extremely busy every minute. We really appreciated that. We also appreciated his talks with the players, very informative. I especially appreciated the help from his coach Gregg Mucerino. He took the time on several occasions to talk with Andrew but also his dad and myself. Andrew did great, I feel, overall but did have some challenges. Coach Gregg was very understanding and supportive and made it very clear to me he was there for the benefit of the players and wanting them to do their best. I truly appreciated that. I look forward to hearing from you about Andrew's evaluation. His pitching coach is as well so that we can put together a program for him to work on the things he needs to better prepare for his next event. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Mr. Packer, The Pirate City World Series was an incredible experience. I wish every young baseball player could experience what I did. After the first day I do have to say I was terribly sore from playing all day and the strength and agility was intense. By the end of the camp, the strength and agility came easy to me as did playing all day in the heat. I did take my notebook with me as you suggested and have full pages of stuff to remember about all types of things from hitting, catching, general baseball knowledge and recruiting. It truly was a great event and I learned a lot from all of the coaches although some of the things I did already know from previous coaching. I feel that I did alright as an individual. Catching wise, I threw out 50% of runners attempting to steal and I hit .500 in all the games combined. I was pleased with my performance but we will see how well I actually did when my evaluations come out. Thank you for the suggestion to attend The Pirate City World Series it was like I said a great experience and I learned a lot.

Hi Patrick, Graham had a great experience in Arizona. Got off to a slow start, but he finished strong. The college search has been very successful. You may remember that he wants to play football and baseball in college, so he's targeted DIII schools fairly close to home. He's received five acceptances out of six, still waiting on two others, with two academic scholarship offers. However, it looks like he's decided on Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, about 45 minutes from home. He's been recruited to play both sports. Their baseball program is very strong–ranked 17th in pre-season DIII nationwide rankings. I couldn't be happier with our experience with Baseball Factory. The tournaments at Pirate City and in Tucson were extremely well run. The facilities were great. The coaching staff and support staff were outstanding. As a high school coach of 31 years now, I'm much more attentive to things than the average parent, and I have to say that everything was superb. I'd also like to thank you, Patrick, for your great communication with us over the past year. You've been very attentive and helpful, and you've offered us honest and timely feedback. Since I'm Graham's high school coach, I wanted him to have an objective assessment so that college coaches would not think I'm swayed by the fact that he's my son. I couldn't be happier with the thoroughness of the assessment and the attention from you. Thanks again.

He loved it!  He told me he had never been coached at the level of coaching he had at Tampa. He has been on a lot of teams and has had a lot of different coaches, but no one has ever broken down the position coaching like the Tampa coaches had. He was tired and sore when we got home, even after working out every day before we left, but that tells me that he gave it all he had! He watched the training DVD the day after we got back and is going to work with our high school baseball coach to get a daily workout figured out. He is anxious to get his evaluation so that he knows what he needs to work on! Thanks for checking on him!

Hi Mr. Brown I'm just letting you know that Pirate City, on a personal level, was possibly one of the best experiences that I've ever had. Myself‚ in the actual baseball game play did pretty well. My manger was Coach Nolan‚ and I guess he was full of compliments. We won the championship in extra innings‚ and I had hit the tying run. Going down to Florida really showed me how I may need to work a little harder to get ahead of the other kids, but I know I could have played much better than I did. I just wanted to thank you for allowing to go because like I said that this was probably the best time of my life, and it was way too short. I'm very excited for Omaha.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the feedback and information and also your enthusiasm and hard work you and the other coaches put forth at the Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. On the last day as we checked out my son Noah, as tired as he was, said he did not want to leave and wished he could stay longer. To me that shows he liked working on his game and had fun with it. I appreciate you telling the kids and parents the reality of things to come and the effort they need to put forth. I have been trying to tell my son and other kids this same message in my area as I am the President of our local Little League and a coach for my sons travel baseball team. As a dad its sometimes hard for a son to listen to dad say these things so having him hear it from another source will help it sink in more. As a parent and coach I learned a few things as well so Noah and I can work on them and of course the 3 A's [Academics, Athletics, Attitude]. Again thanks and we hope to see you at future events.

I went down to the Under Armour All-America Tournament with Christian in Tucson, Arizona. Great experience. Weather was great, good competition, etc. Christian had a blast and played really well, so his excitement level was pretty high. Brian McRae gave a presentation on Friday night and Christian had a photo taken with him which was very exciting for a 17-year-old who is a baseball enthusiast. The college recruiting clinic/presentation was very insightful as usual. Anyways, just wanted to thank you. It was a great experience and we all loved it.

Its been a little over two weeks since Vero Beach event happened but I'm simply sending you a email to pay graditude for the work and help you did with me in the batting cages out at Dodgertown. I've began noticing since being back in NY that I've applied the changes you showed me in my games and I've noticed that the success rate is much greater due to everything I learned out at Dodgertown.

And lastly just wanted to say that Vero Beach was one of the most amazing weeks of my life baseball-wise due to the amazing staff and also because of some of the staff that I was also with in the Cape Cod event like Coach Mike and Coach Valaraiso and TJ Lopez who never seem to have enough to teach me on things to make me better at the game. Thank you for all of your hospitality this past weekend in Jupiter. We enjoyed the event and saw some good players. Was well worth the trip for us, we will return next year as well.

Everything was positive and Bo really enjoyed the camp. He learned a lot and has really been motivated since getting back home. 

As a parent, I enjoyed the parent’s session where the coaches told the kids what they look for in a player. Bo is a good kid and student, but it is always good for them to hear it from someone else.

I had a wonderful experience watching my son at the training facility for the Training and Competition at Pirate City. We want to thank each coach that was present. All of the coaching staff was wonderful. They were extremely knowledgeable about all aspects the game. The different hitting drills, stretching exercise and fielding are building blocks to strengthen his skill set on the field. These are things to bring home and build upon to improve with each season.

Julian had a great time in the tournament. This event helped him to mature as a person, and as an student athlete. As a parent I enjoyed see him be more independent, be a leader, and be on control of his own development as a player.

The coaches were great, and Julian got a lot of feedback from them. To summarize, his goals are: 1) Get faster, 2) Get bigger and stronger, 3) Keep working on his athletic development, and 4) Be a great student.

The tournament itself, was great. There was a lot of talent in the roster and we know they could had done better in the tournament if they had played longer together.

Thank you for inviting Julian to participate in this event, he really enjoyed it.

Hello Chris, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in Pirate City training and tournament. I had a great time and met some great coaches and players. The coaches taught me a lot and still made it a fun experience. They really worked on individual problems. When I asked them to look at something and give me feedback, they provided helpful instruction to me quickly. The players who were on my team really got along well and we came together within the first couple hours of meeting each other. I felt as if I was on a team with players I had known my entire life. At this camp/tournament I learned new things to improve my game. In the individual defense, I learned where I need to be positioned for various situations. For example, at shortstop the normal playing position for a right handed hitter is 9 steps towards left field and 6 steps towards third base from second base. On a left handed hitter it is 9 steps towards left field and 2 steps toward third base. Also my coach and I worked on my hitting after the first games on Sunday. He said my shoulder was coming out before my hands were moving towards the ball. This caused my hips to turn and made me roll over the ball and ground out. When I really focused on that during cage work at night, I got to the point where I could feel myself opening too soon. It became an easy fix and am now able to adjust this quickly. Another thing I learned was in the bullpen. A coach really talked to me about slide-step from the stretch. He also taught me how to throw a two-seam fastball. The two-seam fastball really worked for me and the slide-step came easy as well. I look forward to putting these skills into play. I look forward to seeing the coaches evaluation in a couple of weeks.  In the meantime, I will visit the Baseball Factory website for more information on baseball skills and college recruitment. Hi Dave, We had a fantastic time in Vero. The experience was well worth it. We only attended the games but everything ran smooth and was well organized from check in to check out. AJ had a great time. Met and made new friends as well as improving on his baseball. He started out a little homesick and nervous, but fought through it and now wishes it wasn't over so quickly. He (to me anyway) looks smoother in his fielding and more confident. His swing stayed the same again seeming more confident. We definitely look forward to the future, and hope he received a good evaluation. He'll be in contact soon, he's still getting caught up in school. Thank you again for the opportunity,

As you know today was my final day at Pirate City, and I had such a great time that I wanted to email you as soon as I could so you have an idea of how much I enjoyed it.  All the coaches were extremely insightful and provided useful tips and information regarding mechanics that I believe can take my ability to the next level through hard work.  The facility was awesome and the experience was incredible.  I played pretty well in my opinion.  I really hit the ball hard almost every at bat while playing solid defensively and I think this tournament has given me some much needed confidence for my high school season.I even pitched two no hit innings today, which I couldn't have pictured happening when I got here.  I'm really glad you presented me with the opportunity to participate in this event and I'm extremely grateful and happy that it was worth it for me.  I'll talk to you soon and I'll be keeping an eye out for other events you guys have coming up!

Dave, I wanted to take a minute to email you and let you what a good job Jeannette and I feel that Joe Lake does with the boys. He is extremely patient and very encouraging toward the players while at the same time demanding that they do the best they are able to do. Mr. Lake is hardworking, honest and devoted to helping the players perform at the best of their abilities. He took time to speak with the parents who had questions and is very encouraging. With our son being younger, and because of being younger also smaller than most all of the other boys, we always have a concern that he will be brushed aside and not given any attention. Joe Lake has treated Joe like everyone else demanding that he perform at his best. Mr. Lake also spoke with us about Joe’s throwing as well. I want to thank you for asking him to specifically look at that for us and obviously Mr. Lake for following up with that. Hopefully Joe did well enough and showed enough improvement from July/September to continue with the Baseball Factory. His throwing velocity although not measured at this event has improved significantly since he was last measured in July. He has worked religiously on many of the items that he needed to improve on since his last evaluation. He will continue to do so.

Hi Jesse, Touching base with you since our trip to Pirate City.  First off, thank you for selecting Tanner and giving him this opportunity.  I was beyond impressed with the 1st class operation from start to finish.  Tanner returned home with an even more positive attitude and mindset zeroed in on his future choices.  He continues to mention baseball skills to me that he learned and says “mom I had never been taught that here” along the way.  He thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and I feel like it was well worth the investment.  I am hopeful he will be invited to another event! Tanner also made some great relationships with players and coaches. This was perfect timing with him entering high school next week and needing some “positive male role model baseball guidance” so to speak. I am looking forward to working with you throughout high school to hopefully align Tanner’s baseball future.

Hi Patrick, What an amazing last 4 days!  Nick had a good time and worked his butt off. The Cal Lutheran coaches came out to watch him on Saturday and he delivered. He gapped a line drive to the right center wall and Coach Smilak commented to me how impressed he was with Nick’s speed on the bases in that AB. Coaches were yelling 3rd to him so he kept running and was tagged out at 3rd by a perfect relay, but it is how he hit that ball that is most important. He also had another single and a walk in that game. Seems like they are very interested in him. They kept talking about him getting his application in ASAP. Our Baseball Factory coaches played him almost every inning and also gave him some extended time at 2B in Saturday’s 2nd game. Nick faced the best pitching he has ever seen and held his own for the most part. He was facing lefties throwing low 90’s and big giant humans slinging the rock. I cannot believe how many college and pro scouts were out there Friday and Saturday.  Must have been 300+. Thanks again for the opportunity for my boy.  I can’t thank you enough.

Hello Mr. Packer, My experience in Arizona was great. I enjoyed staying with all the players and having responsibilities instead of having my parents do everything. I also enjoyed riding on the bus with the other players like the pros do. I was very happy with the coaches, the way they taught, and also I liked the competition. I haven't faced very good competition lately, so it was good to play some better players. While I was in Arizona, one of my coaches helped me tweak my swing to give me better balance. I found out that I was too narrow, and he said I should widen my feet, and instantly I had much better balance. In the college recruiting workshop, I learned a lot about how important it was to keep every letter from a college coach, even if it's a small school. I also learned that without good grades, I'm not even eligible to be recruited by college coaches. One of the coaches, Brice Cutspec, told me to play farther off the bag to help out the second baseman with his range. Coming home from Arizona, I learned how much ability at first base I really had. Also, I realized that I was a better hitter than I thought. Before, I wasn't all that comfortable hitting against guys a lot older than me, now I know I can hit against anybody. The college workshop really changed my mindset about doing my work outside of practice and games. I learned that it isn't a cakewalk to get to the Bigs. You need to put the work in every single day if you want to achieve your goal. From my point of view, I thought I played well at the plate. I thought I had a couple of disciplined at-bats. But, I think I need to continue to work on foot speed, and I think I need to adjust to the longer distance from the mound to the plate when I'm pitching. Thank you so much for the opportunity to go to Arizona. I hope I get more opportunities to play in Baseball Factory events.

While Graham received several offers he chose Wheaton College in Chicago whose coach would have never seen him except for him attending the Fall Senior Classic. The Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament was also a spectacular experience for Graham. 

As for the summer, Graham is going to play in the Sunbelt League with college players on the Astros prospect team for the month of June and some July and then do some serious fitness training until school starts.

I had a blast at the event and after seeing the talent that is out there, believe now more than ever if I keep working and doing the right things I can compete with the best out there. Arizona was such a cool experience for me and I'm so glad the Baseball Factory gave me the opportunity to go to this tournament. This was the farthest I've been out west and it was a lot of fun to see how different it was with the east coast. The sports complex was beautiful, and always BF was extremely organized and proficient!

Ash absolutely loved the experience, appreciated all advice and comments that the coaches said to him. I truly believe this experience, made a huge impact on him.

Ash's team won their pool, but were knocked out in the first round of the play-off's. With that being said, the team that knocked them out won the entire tournament. I thought they did a great job not knowing one another, and going 2-2.

The only down-side that Ash and I saw in the event... we wished it was longer (in a good way). By the time the boys start getting comfortable, it is the end... Not sure if that is even possible to do (extend by a day), but if it can, I don't think you will hear anyone complaining.

Dan Mooney... my only regret is, I wish I could have taped him. I came home and told my husband, parents all about him and I wish I could replay for them, Ash and myself. He did a great job "speaking in the boy's language", and making his point. I looked over at Ash every so often, and I don't think he ever took his eyes off Dan. In fact, he and I talked a lot about what he said, which showed me that Ash truly digested everything he had to say.

Overall... it will go down as one of the best baseball experiences for Ash and me to watch.  

I look forward to touching base with you on his scouting report.

I had an amazing time in Arizona! Everything about the whole experience is something I will never forget! I've also learned so many new strategies and ways to prepare for games. All my coaches were excellent and lots of fun to be around and learn from. After my first player meeting, we found some things in my stance that I could tweak. The next couple games, I started making better contact and got some solid hits. Aside from the baseball aspect, I had a blast hanging out with my teammates. It took a day or two to get to know each other but after the that, we all were hanging out and having a great time! Again I want to thank you for making this a possibility for me and giving me the opportunity to work with such a great group of coaches and playing with such a great group of guys.

I just wanted to tell you how pleased we were with the Baseball Factory experience. It is truly a class act. JJ and the other coaches on the black squad were absolutely phenomenal. Caleb has grown and matured this week a lot I'm sure. The team built a great chemistry, its amazing how tight those guys are after only a week. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the culture in the dugout from the coaching staff. I would love to see that exact group play again together, they are an extremely talented group of boys.

Hey Mr. Packer, Vero Beach, even though it was four days, was an incredible and an exciting time and will be forever remembered as one of the best days of my young life. There is not one bad thing I have to say about this tournament. Everything about it had a professional but yet comfortable feel to it. Whether it be the delicious food served in the dining hall, being one of the first of few people to test out the new Easton Hit Lab™, or just being in the general vicinity of the once Brooklyn Dodgers Spring Training stadium! Then there was the coaching; they were hands down the best guys for the job. They had every single trait a coach should have. They had patience, a willing-to-help attitude, and a sense of humor. I guess the only bummer of the trip was that I didn't do as well as I hoped to do; but what can I say except, that's baseball for ya. All in all, after finally getting a taste of competition outside of my region, Baseball Factory is something I am really looking forward to continuing.

Baseball Factory was one of the greatest baseball experiences that I ever had! I had an amazing time from meeting new people, all the drills, and most of all the baseball games we played. Thankfully, the team I was on, we all bonded and loved to play the sport. That led us to becoming the CHAMPS and I was super excited! I learned a lot of things that I had questions about and got refreshed on some things that I could do to help improve myself. If I am playing in the outfield I should take a hard, quick first step back. Hustle to the ball and in the straightest line as possible. Make sure I slow myself down enough to secure the ball cleanly, if hit on the ground. Make sure I try to catch the ball out in front of my body. On my batting. I learned that if I am short and sweet with my feet then I make a lot better contact with the ball. That means just picking my foot up and right back down. That even helps me stay balanced better. sometimes I would let my elbow get out from my body and that caused my hands and wrist to roll over and make me get on top of the ball. I got to let the ball travel into the zone so I can have a better contact point. It was a great event for me to go to and thank you! I hope you have a great New Year!

Thank you very much for chance to go to the Vero Beach training camp. I learned a ton and had fun doing it. What more could I ask for? My new knowledge and skill will not only transfer over to my regular season team, but to my other sports teams too (soccer, track and basketball). Not to mention just life in general. The work we did with Mr. Lopez will help me be faster and more efficient at all my physical activities from here on out. Also, I have enrolled in the Pirate City training camp in November. That should be just as great as the Vero Beach program. Lastly, I am working on a training schedule and I will get that to you as soon as possible. You provided kids with great opportunities when you founded Baseball Factory. That is one of the best things you can give a any child with talent of any kind.

Steve, Gregory and I and Big Greg just got back from Maryland. Your facility is tremendous. Maryland is beautiful. Gregory really enjoyed the event along with his coaches Josh and Will. Gregory is looking forward to his updated evaluation performance from this weekend.

Coach Nagler, I had an awesome time at Pirate City this past week; I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to attend it. I wanted to say thank you to you and the Baseball Factory staff for not only choosing me to participate, but also for all the time you spent with me and the other players this week. I learned a lot about myself as a player and about the game itself while at Pirate City. All of the coaches were just as excited to teach about the game as I was to learn about it. I think I learned the most during individual defense (middle infield) and athletic development. The coaches that helped with these sections taught me things that I had not learned before, which I think will help my game tremendously (e.g. Positioning against a left and right handed batter, drills to work on, and how to stay athletic and get faster). This was also a humbling experience for me. I found out very quickly that there are talented ball players from all over the country and that there are thousands of kids just as talented as I am. This helped me realize though why academics and how you carry yourself are so important. All in all I had a great time competing against and with some of the best guys around the country and it is an experience I will never forget. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you with my evaluation.

Hi Coach Fuller, I just wanted to thank you a lot for the work you did with me in Cape Cod. I learned a lot to not only improve myself as a ballplayer, but also as a person. I learned it is just as important to be hardworking as it is talented. You and the other coaches made an impact on me that I can never pay you back for. Thank you again for all you did.

Dear Coach Fuller, Thank you for taking the time out to coach me in Omaha. I learned more about the game of baseball in that one week than I ever have! It truly was an all around amazing experience, and an amazing event to be apart of. From focusing on how to approach the ball, to how to align myself in the infield, you have helped my playing in the field incredibly. I have been working even harder than before since coming home from Omaha, and can't wait to show my improvements in Pirate City. Hey Steve, I was very proud that Jacob stayed and talked to Coach Mooney. From what Jacob said, he and only one other kid talked to him one on one. That makes me know that he is taking this very seriously. After talking with Coach Mooney, I think Jacob is considering a community college to gain more experience his 1st two years of college and then evaluate where to go from there. From a mother’s perspective and my husband, we thought he did very well! Held his own for sure! He has also been doing a ton of catching and doing very well at it! His Youngstown B coach has been very impressed. As parents, Randy and I enjoyed our time in Omaha with Jacob as well. The program was organized with great coaches and instructional skills training and thankfully we had great weather! It was a very positive experience! Thanks!

Hi Steve, Nic is playing well, and we are thankful to God for his success. He also said he knew there were so many people who helped him on this journey, and the first name to come out of his mouth was Steve Sclafani! Dan, Great to hear from you. Dylan's season is progressing well. He should get more than his share of innings on the mound. We have heard from a couple small colleges (Azusa and Westmont) that have asked for a copy of his schedule and a desire to come to town and watch him throw. That's exciting. Dan I must say we had a wonderful experience at the UA Pre-Season All American. The whole weekend was Top Notch. The boys were treated wonderfully and received some very valuable instruction and experience. Dylan was placed on team California with his close friend Hudson Hartley, which was great. And what a great group of kids we had on team Cali. The boys got along great and had a lot of fun playing. You would never have guessed the boys only knew each other for 48 hours. Dylan was lucky enough to pitch six innings, pitching in two of our three games. And team California went 3-0. We are already planning on attending again next year, so please count us in for next year. To all at the Factory, Just wanted to express what a great experience it was to attend the Christmas Tournament and Camp at Pirate City. The endless amount of good baseball, whether training or competitive games, the facilities, the instructors, guest speakers, etc.. was more then I as a parent could have expected for my son Tyler. It was an experience that was "awesome " in his eyes and talked about back home and an event I would recommend for those who have a passion for the game, a desire to develop their skills, and to interact with your peers through out the country. Dave, We got back from Tucson yesterday evening. We’ve been to two other “major” tournaments this year – Team USA in North Carolina and Oakley All American in Dallas.  This tournament (Under Armour All American Pre-Season Tournament) was by far the most enjoyable for both Branson and I.  It was run like clockwork, informative and the talent level was very good.  The people running and working the tournament were friendly, respectful and accommodating to both parents and the kids.  I feel like I got my money’s worth, which I have never said before regarding these tournaments!  Usually, by the end, I feel the tournament is just a money maker for the host and positions are simply filled to fill them, not necessarily because the player earned the spot.  Oakley is still young, so it may get better; they had a lot of college scouts there. I don’t know what sort of info or notes you have on Branson from the Freshman/Sophomore Classic we went to in AZ, but he has noticeably matured both physically and mentally.  There is such a difference from last year!  He still struggles with his perfectionism, which is his best and worst trait, but more and more he is learning to believe in his ability and works hard at both his shortcomings and his strengths.  Last night he did a full speed and agility workout after we got home at 6:00 p.m..  His drive, dedication, work ethic and love of the game are, and always have been, second to none. It was a great experience!

Hi Dave, Thanks for staying in touch. We hope you had a happy holiday as well. Ever since we returned from the Pirate City baseball event we can't stop talking about it! Whether it's about the training, the games, or how well it was organized, we just can't seem to say it all. William has had to tell countless family and friends all about it since everyone he sees this holiday wants to know how it went. It was really a wonderful experience for our son, and we are glad we made the decision to participate in the Camp and Tournament. We are interested in taking part in other events as well, but are waiting to see how William's schedule develops as the baseball Spring season begins. I'm looking forward to the results of his performance at camp, and for seeing his web page develop as the reports come in. I already checked out some of the training videos and will encourage him to incorporate these exercises into his routine. Thank you again for staying involved with us, we really appreciate that about the Baseball Factory program.

Hi, I just wanted to say a big thank you to your staff. I'm sure you've heard by now the boys flight was cancelled and they were basically stranded in Baltimore the very first time I let them travel alone. Josh and the other coaches made sure they were taken care of and handled their rescheduling of the flight and hotel and food. You have no idea how much that meant to know they were in such good care. The boys had a blast and took away a lot from the camp!

Hi Dave, I had an awesome time in Arizona. It was a very productive week and I enjoyed every second of it. It was by far my favorite baseball trip I have ever taken. I felt like I got solid work in every day and very good tips and feedback on all aspects of my game. Our team became very close and I made a lot of new friends. I also liked all three of my coaches who were Ernie Young, Mike Baker, and Javi Ochoa. It was a great experience and am very happy with how it went. I took lots of notes and learned a lot of new things that will help me in the future and even things that I was able to quickly change right then and improve upon in the games that day that helped me do better. Thank you for checking in and I look forward to hearing from you once you get my evaluation.

Hey Chris, We are having a wonderful time here at Pirate City. Akira's Pirate team is undefeated going into the Championship Game tomorrow. Akira has really enjoyed himself at this event. I asked him today to rate his experience at Pirate City on a scale of 1-10. He replied, Daddy I rate this experience way above 10, this is place awesome!

Hey Dave, Just a quick response from mom before Gary gets back to you! He had the most amazing experience. He has said over and over he learned more last week than he ever has. He enjoyed the other players, especially the older ones, of course, loved the coaches and said he wants to attend more Baseball Factory camps!! Thanks again for the experience opportunity for him. We had a blast.

Mr. Packer, Thank you for all your help with everything. Pirate City was simply amazing. It was by far the coolest experience of my life. I met so many knowledgeable coaches who helped me out so much. Mike Murray was my coach and he was a huge help. He taught me new things about catching that I had never even heard about and was so passionate about coaching and helping me so it was great to work with him. He was definitely one of the best coaches I have ever worked with. I also worked with coach Ty Griffin a lot. He helped me out with my hitting in just "tweaking" a few little things and it was amazing to see the instantaneous positive results. Besides these two guys, there were also many other coaches who helped me develop my game to a whole different level. I feel so much more experienced and knowledgeable about the game because of the coaching at Pirate City. I also loved the whole atmosphere at Pirate City. Playing at a Major League spring training complex was so cool. The fields were amazing. I couldn't believe how nice they were kept. Playing on them was fun and inspiring. Having full access to the batting cages was awesome too. I was in there at 10:00 at night hitting and I still didn't want to leave. The clubhouse and locker room made me feel like a Big Leaguer and it was an awesome experience to be able to go in there every day and get dressed and ready to play some ball. It was really fun to meet kids from all over the country and hear about their teams and schools and everything else back in their home states. Everybody was nice and loved playing baseball so I made a lot of really nice friends there. One of the best parts was the team I was on. Our team was fortunate enough to win the championship game. It was really cool because even though we just met each other it seemed like we had been playing with each other for years. We had great chemistry and that was definitely shown on the field. Even though we won the championship, it wasn't so easy. The caliber of the kids was at a VERY high level which made it even more fun. It was very competitive thus making the games very exciting. It was great for me to see the caliber of other players from different states which is, essentially, who I am going to be competing against as I talk to college recruiters. All in all I can't thank you enough for all your help. It was an amazing opportunity so I thank you for helping me to do that. It was a great experience to see what college baseball is about (besides the school aspect); wake up and pretty much play baseball the whole day at a very high level. I loved doing that so I know I am going to be ready to take my game to the next level a couple of years from now. I took home so many new things that I wrote down in my journal and they have been so helpful as I have continued to practice them at home. Coach Ferguson, who ran the camp that session, did an excellent job and it was great to meet him as well. Thanks again for all your help and I look forward to being in contact with you.

Rob Reise and I had a great time in Tucson. I have seen him perform better, but think he did well anyway. That experience cannot be replaced. It could not be fully appreciated without actually being there either. If you had not followed up with that phone call odds are we would have missed it. He loves the game and the time there has to be at the top of his list for good times with the game. Of course I think he has more in store, but I had to express my gratitude. The cost means nothing to me as the reward for me as a father cannot be measured.

I’m sure Stephen Jr. will contact you, but I can assure you that the Baseball Factory is one of the highlights of Stephen’s life. He loves it. Loves the coaches. Loves the kids. Loves the venues. He was even talking about trying to work at a camp when he gets older. It really makes a difference in his life, way beyond baseball. And he was hurt most of this camp. Didn’t deter his enthusiasm at all.

Justin, The Neals wanted to thank you and the Team One organization for the invitation and the great experience. We were extremely impressed with the organization, planning, and execution of the showcase, as well as the game. The ability for the players to take easy rhythm grounders in the outfield prior to showcasing in the infield, as well as the BP swings they got in the cage prior to on field hitting, was beneficial and much appreciated.

Chris, Wanted to let you know that Ronnie has decided to play baseball with Methodist University. He spent the last two weeks weighing his options and thinks Methodist is the best fit. His school will have a "signing ceremony" and release a media advisory this Wednesday. Ronnie is happy with his decision and now focusing on state tournament and Legion Ball. Nancy and I have found the last few months to be very interesting and fulfilling as we watched Ronnie achieve the dream he has pursued for many, many years. Baseball Factory played an important role in Ronnie's journey. The exposure he had though your camps and my recent conversations with you were very helpful. Thank you very much for your advice and mentorship to Ronnie.

Hey Patrick, I just wanted to get in touch with you and let you know the news of my college decision myself. I know my dad already told you but I wanted to tell you that I am very excited that I am going to Willamette University and I wanted to thank you for everything you did to help me through the process. Baseball Factory was a great help to me and I had a blast at the events I attended. I will definitely let people I know that are interested in baseball during their college years that Baseball Factory is awesome and well worth everything. I also am glad that I made a great friendship with you and you will soon be hopefully guiding my younger brother through this same process. Once again thank you for everything you did for me and I will make sure to keep in touch with you through my college career. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Woody, Last weekend, an old journey ended and a new one began. On Monday, Cal U traveled south to play Mars Hill. It was the Vulcan's season road opener, and the first college game for Will. Driving to Asheville, NC, I thought about all of the great advice we received from the Baseball Factory staff, the priceless experience Will gained at Dodgertown, and the ongoing support that you, Dan Forester, and Dan Mooney provided.  Will might have never realized his dream of playing college baseball without your help. Catching game two, Will stepped to the plate and doubled off the top of the right-centerfield fence in his first at bat. Dear Mr. Brown, Happy New Year. I had the time of my life in Pirate City. It felt as if I was a Pittsburgh Pirate with the room, coaching, and my own locker. It is always said that you can never stop learning in the game of baseball, which I learned firsthand at this showcase. I shaved some time off my 60-yard dash and learned that I can be even faster with a few minor changes to my running form.  I also felt that my blocking has gotten better since the work with the Pirates catching coach. I have been working on my receiving as well and I'm not going to lie, it is different but I feel that I will start to get more strikes for my pitchers. I also learned that a catcher can play a long time as long as I can catch and throw well. It is good to see the differences in the recruiting process of college and major league recruits. I had Coach Murray as my team coach and I can honestly say that I wish he was my high school coach. He calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable at the showcase which, I believe, is why I played well. The conditioning coach taught me a few things about my jumps on the pitcher and how to accelerate quicker. I have made it a personal goal of mine to break my high schools stolen base record. I am going to get faster and work on my jumps with some of the drills that I was shown at this showcase. In my honest and personal opinion, I liked this showcase more than Omaha, however, the College World Series will be an experience that I will never forget. In fact, I still keep in touch with J'daylin Jackson. It was funny last week because it got to about 82 degrees outside with little humidity and all the players from up North were saying, "Man this is ridiculously hot." I just laughed and told them that here in Florida we pray for weather like this because it is ten times hotter in the summer. I made them all jealous when I told them that we start high school season in two weeks.  I couldn't live without playing baseball for that long. I am so glad that I live in Florida. This was an amazing experience and I am glad that I went; it gave me pro instruction that I will use to my advantage and make myself a better player and person. Sincerely, Mitchell Barati

Dear Mr.Bowers, I'll start off by saying that Pirate City was one of the best experiences I have had in my baseball career and I will never forget it. The organization and effectiveness of the camp helped me in becoming a better player during the off season. The coaching staff was fantastic. They all helped me in different ways from hitting to fielding to strength training. The skills that I have learned here will stay with me through my high school season. I enjoyed being in Florida with elite baseball players from across the country and making new friends. I was very pleased with my experience with Baseball Factory and look forward to continue on with Baseball Factory.

Ryan, It was a great experience. The facilities, coaches and everything was just fantastic. Jake liked the coaches and the instruction. For a 12-year-old to be playing on those fields and staying in that facility–he was over the top excited!  We are very interested in anything that is occuring with Baseball Factory next year, regardless of the location.

Hey Patrick, I am currently working my way to my dream. I am playing college ball at Scottsdale CC. I honestly have to say I couldn't have done it without the Baseball Factory. The player page, scouting report and video helped Coach Clapp get a look at me. He saw it and called me the next day. Thank you for helping me find a home for the next two years.

Steve, Dan and Woody, I wanted to let you all know that Carter, Nic and I will be flying out to Eastern Arizona this evening to get him enrolled into school! Both he and Carter have had conversations with the coach (who was an assistant at Georgia before Coach Perno), and they both feel good about the opportunity. The coach was very encouraging to Nic and told him that unfortunately situations like this happen more often than they should. He said he got the video clip, and while he could not see Nic as well as he would have liked to, he was impressed by what he did see. I wanted to thank you all for your support of Nic and us through this process. I remember Steve saying to the families at dinner down in Florida (it was Nic’s first interaction with Baseball Factory), that once a kid becomes a member of the Baseball Factory family they were always a member of the family. You all have proven that time and time again with Nic Wilson; THANK YOU! I hope that you all know how much of a difference you make in the lives of young men each and every day.

Guys, Thanks so much for a first class event last night (2011 Team One Futures Showcase). We have been to a few showcase type events and I was very impressed with your effort last night and guidance and feedback. Not sure I have seen that many quality kids in one spot ever. My son Michael McCann thoroughly enjoyed playing and the chance to compete against and get to know boys of that caliber. I hope Michael will be considered for future events.

Mr. Mooney, Just a quick note to let you know Shane’s status. Shane has verbally committed to Lackawanna College. The coach watched one of his fall tournament games, Shane visited the school and team’s practice (he actually knows one of the players from his high school), talked to the Coach a number of times, and had a formal meeting with him last week. It seems like a good fit for Shane. As you can imagine it was a very difficult decision. We appreciate everything you and Baseball Factory did. As you know, Shane had opportunities because of Baseball Factory. Besides Chesapeake College, Shane did visit Florence-Darlington who told us they knew of Shane through Baseball Factory. Also, Shane e-mailed the Baseball Factory evaluation and video to Harper Community College and they expressed a lot of interest in him because of the video. He was actually scheduled to visit with them before he made up his mind. Thanks again for all your help.

Pirate City was one of the best experiences of my life, I had great teammates and had a good time. I also learn alot about batting, pitching and first from all the coaches there to help. My team took third even though we should have gotten first because we were probably the most talented team and we got to know each other very well which made for good chemistry. Through the five days I learned that Florida is very humid, that being an infielder getting the ball out of your glove as fast as possible with a good grip is key even at first base, and that you can do anything with your future in baseball as long as you put your mind to it and work for it.

Thanks for this great opportunity this has really opened my eyes on were I stand to the rest of the country as a player.
